Michelle Yeoha also brought her Oscar trophy with her and took the opportunity to honor her late father, Yeoh Kian Teik, while also presenting it to her 83-year-old mother.

Yeoh announced her return to Malaysia this afternoon on Facebook, writing:

Brought Mr.O home…. Without my parents’ love and trust and support… I wouldn’t be here today… love (you) so much.

In addition to her triumphant return, Michelle Yeoh has a rich history of accolades, including her recent win at the 94th Academy Awards for her role in the film “Everything Everywhere All at Once.”

This monumental win has cemented her place as a trailblazer in the entertainment industry, and her achievement is a source of pride for Malaysians worldwide.

Hosting fan meet at Pavilion KL on 18 April

On April 18th, at 4 pm, Michelle Yeoh will make an appearance at Pavilion Kuala Lumpur for the “Pride of Malaysia Michelle Yeoh Homecoming Public Fan Meet”, where she will meet and greet her Malaysian fans.

Upon winning the award, she had previously expressed her desire to bring the trophy back to Malaysia to share her joy with her family.

“I want to bring the award back to my hometown,” she said.

It is understood that her return to Malaysia is also to celebrate her mother’s birthday.
