Michelle Yeoh is a beloved name among Malaysians, not only because she was born here, but also thanks to her fame as a actress in Hollywood, notably her Oscar win for the film ‘Everything Everywhere All At Once’.
Now, she has returned to her hometown of Ipoh to spend time with her family as well as indulge in local delicacies.

Yeoh announced her arrival in Kuala Lumpur in an Instagram post on Sunday (Aug 27), where she simply wrote: ‘Arrived back to KL to love.’
Among some of the photos she shared was a framed drawing of her receiving the Oscar award for her performance in ‘Everything Everywhere All At Once’
Another was a multi-tiered cake which had a mini figurine of her and Jean Todt on the top. The couple tied the knot back on July 29.
In another post, Yeoh posted photos of her, her mother Datin Janet Yeoh, and her siblings during her stay in Ipoh.
“Love mum and of course she fed me. And my siblings too,” she quipped.
‘Welcome home!’
Yeoh’s return to Malaysia has since caused a stir among netizens, who were delighted to see the actress step on Malaysian soil once again and gave her a warm reception.
They also said that they hoped to cross paths with her in Ipoh as well.
