Girl injects HIV-positive blood to prove love for boyfriend
To demonstrate her love for her boyfriend, a 15-year-old girl from Suwal Kuchchi village in Assam, India injected herself with his HIV-positive blood, according to India Times.
The couple had first connected through Facebook and had grown deeply attached to each other, so much so that they were unable to bear being separated.
The teenage couple, who had been together for three years, had attempted to run away from home on several occasions, though the girl was always returned home by her parents.
According to Kalinga TV report, this information was uncovered prior to the girl taking the extreme step of injecting her boyfriend’s HIV-positive blood into her body.
Legal action taken
Upon discovering this shocking turn of events, the girl’s family took legal action against her boyfriend, while the girl is being closely monitored by doctors.
Meanwhile, the Hajo police detained the boyfriend in connection to this incident.
Despite the boy’s pleas for her not to inject his blood into her body, the girl was resolute in her decision.
“I don’t care what happens to me. I just want him to be released at the earliest,” she reportedly said.
