According to [NST](https://www.nst.com.my/news/nation/2023/07/935648/senior-citizen-dies-over-genting-hotel-room-misunderstanding-suspect?utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=comment&fbclid=IwAR2knyTR86w1pEtZjbSBTy5wdSlnOcMO6RqNdydn6SzbwSLPW2WzcxuIt-U), the victim was discovered lying on the ground with injuries to the mouth, eyes, and face at approximately 5:40 pm yesterday (27 July).

Following the distressing event, Superintendent Zaiham Mohd Kahar, the district police chief revealed that a 38-year-old suspect was arrested near the resort a few hours later to aid in the ongoing investigations.
