PETALING JAYA – A woman who refused to wear a mask while attempting to enter a Dior outlet in KLCC and Bangsar Shopping Centre (BSC) has been headlining local news for the past week.

After widespread condemnation and uproar, the woman was finally summoned by the police and handed a RM3,000 compound, reported Kosmo!

Dang Wangi District police chief Noor Dellhan Yahaya said the fine was issued to the woman following the investigation’s completion.

She was compounded under Regulation 17 of the Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases (Measures within Infected Local Areas).

“She was fined RM1,500 for not checking into the premises using the MySejahtera application within an area with ​​wide internet access, and another RM1,500 for failing to wear a face mask,” he said.

He also advised the public to follow the SOPs at all times, warning that non-compliance would result in legal action.
