Tesla, the American electric vehicle (EV) and clean energy company, is all set to officially debut in Malaysia later this month.
Tesla to launch officially in Malaysia on 20 July
The confirmation of the company’s entry comes less than four months after the Malaysian government first revealed plans of its imminent arrival.
According to Soya Cincau, the official unveiling will take place in Kuala Lumpur on July 20.
Tesla Malaysia’s official Instagram page is also spotted up and running starting today, although the Malaysian section of Tesla’s official website is still under construction and not yet available.
Exact lineup remains unclear
The exact model lineup that Tesla plans to introduce to the Malaysian market remains unclear.
However, it seems likely that the electric vehicle giant will release the Model Y and Model 3, mirroring its recent launches in Singapore and Thailand.
These models have proven to be popular choices in the region, combining performance, safety, and utility, with the benefits of being fully electric.
With Tesla’s official entry, Malaysia joins the growing list of Southeast Asian countries embracing electric vehicles as a sustainable solution for the future of mobility. Stay tuned for more updates as we get closer to the launch date.
