Tesla’s third official market in Southeast Asia

This move by Tesla signifies Malaysia’s position as the third official Tesla market in Southeast Asia, following the footsteps of Singapore and Thailand.

This significant step was made possible through the approval from the Malaysian Ministry of International Trade and Industry, allowing the importation of electric vehicles. As tax exemptions for fully-imported electric vehicles are expected to end after 2025, Tesla is working diligently to bring their vehicles to Malaysian roads before the deadline.
