Here’s a sad reality check for all Malaysian working adults: the time has come for you to say goodbye to your comfy WFH (work-from-home) lifestyle and back to the grindstone.
But would you be more willing to return to the office if your boss allowed you to combine your suit and shorts together?
This accounting firm, Baker Tilly Malaysia introduced the ultimate cure for its employees’ Monday blues by allowing them to wear their comfy WFH attire on their first day of working at the office.
An unorthodox work attire
In one of the photos posted on its Facebook page, it’s all smart and professional until you you look at the bottom half of their attire – pants, socks, and slippers!
Are you serious?
If that was your initial reaction, it was definitely the case for us too!
In March of last year, we all had to transition to a work-from-home environment. 18 months later, we are now preparing to transition back into the office.”
Making office life a bit less dull
Speaking to WeirdKaya, Baker Tilly Malaysia said the move was merely to add a bit of fun at the workplace.
Our audit partners decided to lead the way by heading back to office for their first meeting dressed in this ‘top-formal, bottom-casual’ attire, just like how many of us did during our video meetings.”
When asked about their audit partners’ reaction, Baker Tilly Malaysia said they had a ball showing off their WFH attire in the office.
“Many were very amused by how sporting our partners were. It brought lots of glee and wows’ too!”
Would you dare suggest this idea to your boss? Let us know!
