MELAKA – As Melaka’s state election approaches, political campaigners and candidates have been trying to win votes of the people.
However, it is not always as it seems as these campaigns may backfire. In a recent viral video, two MIC officers were given an earful as they conducted a house visit.
“You only come when it’s time to vote”
According to the clip on Twitter shared by Zulimran Nasution, two MIC personnel were house visiting and distributing brochures.
A man suddenly walked up to them and shouted at the MIC personnel in Tamil, asking them to leave.
The man was enraged and demanded to know why they only came during election season while turning a blind eye after they secured their votes.

“What have you done for the Indians? You only come during the election campaigning period!”
Though the MIC representatives maintained their composure and attempted to respond to the man’s question, it only angered him as he demanded them to leave.
It is believed that the two men were campaigning for their Malaysian Indian Parliament (MIC) candidate, VP Shanmugam, running for the N07 Gadek constituency.
