CHERAS – What was supposed to be a fun night out quickly turned into a night of tragedy after one was left dead and another with serious injuries after they fell off a Ferris wheel.
The incident took place at an amusement park located near the Aeon Shopping Plaza here at 12.05 am yesterday (Nov 11).
Kajang police deputy chief Supt Mohd Sabri Abdullah said that police rushed to the scene after receiving a distress call from an employee of the amusement park.
“Unfortunately, the 39-year-old victim succumbed to his injuries while his friend was rushed to the hospital for treatment.
“We are still determining whether the accident was caused by the negligence of the funfair operators or the victims themselves”, he said.
Mohd Sabri added that the case has been classified as sudden death.
