‘Help us find them!’ Bukit Jalil café looking for customer who overpaid RM700

What a difference an extra digit makes.

KUALA LUMPUR – A café in Bukit Jalil is seeking the public’s help in tracking down a customer who accidentally paid more that what was required.

In a post on their Facebook page, Say Cheese Café said they realised the customer had paid RM784.04 instead of RM78.40 when they were closing their credit card settlements on Friday (Dec 10).

One staff member also wrote in the comment section that though they managed to contact the Merchant Helpdesk to rectify the mistake, they were told to get in touch with the department again on Monday as it was the weekend.

We will definitely make a refund, but we do not know who the customer is.

Thank you very much for assisting us. We will also gift this customer 1x whole burnt cheesecake as a token of apology for the inconvenience caused,” wrote the café.
