Boost eWallet To Charge 1% Convenience Fee For Credit Card Top Ups Above RM1,000 Starting 15 Mar

Starting March 15, 2024, Boost is introducing a series of enhancements and changes that promise to elevate the user experience and provide more flexibility in how users manage their finances through the app.

In a move to provide users with more freedom in their transaction choices, Boost is uplifting the monthly credit card limit. Previously capped at RM2,000, the limit will now be removed, enabling users to add money to their Boost Wallet via credit card up to their wallet limit, offering unprecedented flexibility in how they fund their eWallets.

1% convenience fee for credit card top ups above RM1,000

However, with the introduction of these enhancements, Boost will also implement a 1% convenience fee for adding money via credit card on amounts exceeding RM1,000 within a single month.

This convenience fee is designed to balance the need for offering expansive services while maintaining the platform’s long-term sustainability.

Users will be pleased to note that for add money transactions up to RM1,000, no convenience fee will be applied.

Another major update includes the upgrade of the Basic Wallet to a Premium Wallet for users who complete account verification. This upgrade comes with an increased wallet limit of RM10,000, allowing users greater capacity for their transactions and financial activities within the app.

Existing Premium Wallet users will also benefit from this upgrade by simply verifying their accounts.
