During festive occasions like Chinese New Year and Raya, older family members would hand out money packets to the younger ones. However, there are some who would throw a tantrum when they’re not given one.
A woman recently took to social media to show how she was harassed by a young boy who insultingly called her ‘babi’ (pig) for not giving him duit raya.
Harasses and calls woman ‘babi’ over duit raya
According to the caption of the 44-second TikTok video which was reposted on Twitter, , the woman said she doing her own thing when a young boy kept asking for duit raya from her.
He kept yelling at me and demanded that I give him some duit raya, but I merely played dumb at the time.
Frustrated that he wasn’t able to get what he wanted, the boy proceeded to tell the man seated behind the woman that she had asked for his number.
As she continued to ignore him, he took things a step further by yelling slurs at her, calling her ‘babi’ and claiming loudly that she eating food that wasn’t halal.
Unsurprisingly, this behavior deeply displeased the woman, who was annoyed and outraged by his actions.
“I’m using my own money and he’s accusing me of eating non-halal food, like
as though he’s paying for my meal. These kids are so rude,” she wrote in the caption.
Towards the end of the clip, the boy decided to harass a group of men seated behind the woman, where he tapped on the shoulder of one of them and asked for a cigarette. Say what now?!
‘This is why I hate kids’
The clip has since garnered 1.8 million views and thousands of comments at the time of writing, where netizens were equally as annoyed by the boy’s audacity.
Some wrote that they would’ve given the boy a good spanking if they were to cross paths with him.
Others said that the boy’s parents were to blame for his behavior as he was a product of poor parenting and a lack of discipline.
Another netizen simply wrote: “This is why I hate kids.”
