Today (July 26) officially kicks off the most awaited event, and we finally got a sneak peek at the playing areas and sports equipment.
The French have gone all out with the colours. Their choice of dreamy pastel pink and purple instead of the usual red or green is incredibly fascinating.
- Badminton: The shuttlecocks have a cute pink band, making every serve look fancy.

- Volleyball: The balls are an adorable mix of purple and pink.

- Football: The balls sport a funky blend of turquoise, pink, white, and dark blue.

- Surfing: The jerseys are in two shades of blue with a pastel pink collar.

Why These Colour Choices?
Recently, Paris 2024 unveiled a preview of the sports equipment and facilities for the upcoming Games.
The Paris 2024 Look of the Games, revealed in early 2023, brings a festive and celebratory visual identity to all venues and host cities.
The competition venues will showcase a simple colour palette: blue (19 venues), green (13 venues), and purple (11 venues).
Each venue’s main colour is reflected in the sports equipment, featuring motifs like polka dots, stripes, and the Paris 2024 symbols.
A splash of pink adds contrast and a joyful touch, tying the elements together.
The design adapts these graphics to various equipment sizes and materials, ensuring they blend seamlessly into the venues while enhancing athletes’ performance.
A touch of pink ties it all together, adding a joyful pop.
The athletics track at the Stade de France is purple, a first in Olympic history. Previous editions had colours like orange or blue.
Choosing a purple track ensures the images of Paris 2024 will be unforgettable. Everyone will instantly link this unique track with the Paris 2024 Games.
In collaboration with Mondo, an Official Supporter of the Games, the Paris 2024 brand and sports management teams picked two shades of purple (one for the track, one for the technical areas).
They added a grey colour for the bends, a nod to the asphalt track used in Paris in 1924.
So, get ready to soak in the vibrant pastel vibes of Paris 2024.
