Kuan Chee Heng, popularly known as Uncle Kentang, is well known among Malaysians for his numerous charitable and generous deeds towards those in need.
Real life Santa Claus
This time around, Kuan spent Christmas helping a family which was struggling with financial difficulties.
In a Facebook post, he stated that he wasn’t a Santa Claus that would respond to all requests, but will only do so during special occasions.
He then began to share how he encountered a woman who was on the verge of carrying out a tragic act out of desperation.
On Christmas Day, an Indian woman wanted to end the lives of her kids and her own as her newlywed husband had left her with a huge debt.
Kuan further added that her husband had even used her name to borrow money and left her with a soaring debt of RM10,000.

I told her not to be worried about the debt and promised to settle it as the ‘best Christmas gift’.
He also encouraged her to stay strong for her kids and offered his help in promoting her small business.
‘Thank you, Uncle Kentang!’
Kuan’s post has since received over 8,900 likes at the time of writing, with many thanking him for continuously doing good deeds for Malaysians of all backgrounds.
