In response to a 62.2% surge in COVID-19 cases last week, the Ministry of Health (MoH) has clarified there will be no reinstatement of lockdown measures like the previous movement control order (MCO).

Addressing the media during a press conference today(18 Dec), Health Minister Datuk Seri Dzulkefly Ahmad emphasized the ministry’s commitment to managing the increase in cases without reverting to the stringent MCO restrictions experienced at the pandemic’s onset.

Instead, the ministry plans to implement the Test, Report, Isolate, Inform, Seek (TRIIS) framework as a proactive measure to curb the potential outbreak.
