Malaysians will soon enjoy greater convenience as the RapidKL My50 pass can be renewed through the TNG eWallet, eliminating the need to queue at LRT station counters.
New feature coming in 2025
This announcement was made by Transport Minister Anthony Loke Siew Fook, with the integration expected to be completed in the coming months.

According to Business Today, Loke emphasized the government’s commitment to affordable public transport through the My50 pass, which offers an annual subsidy of RM1,200 per user.

The subsidy to Prasarana is essentially a subsidy to the people, encouraging public transport use. This initiative aims to reduce living costs and lower the number of vehicles on the road,” he reportedly said.
Part of gov’t efforts to promote public transport
The My50 pass, which offers affordable public transport access, has seen its user base double to over 220,000 since 2019, as of September 2024.

Loke also highlighted the affordability of the pass, noting that it allows commuters to travel from home to work for less than RM2.
Loke also said that the integration aligns with the government’s broader efforts to promote public transport by making it more accessible and cost-effective.
“Encouraging higher public transport adoption is part of the strategy to alleviate the rising cost of living and reduce road congestion,” he said.
