Commuters on Kuala Lumpur’s Rapid KL can now enjoy more payment flexibility.
In a Facebook post, Rapid Rail Sdn Bhd shares that they have rolled out a new payment option allowing the use of debit or credit cards at all their Customer Service Counters starting from April 30, 2024.
Whether it’s buying tokens, reloading Touch ‘n Go cards, or subscribing to My50 or MyCity travel passes, users of LRT, MRT, Monorail, and BRT services can now opt for a quicker card transaction.
This payment feature is also available at the Concession Card Registration Counters located at the Pasar Seni Hub and MRT Conlay Station.
This adds to the existing payment methods of cash and QR codes. Token purchases can still be made at ticket vending machines.
Some asked whether debit or credit cards can be used at self-service machines to buy tokens, the response from Rapid KL is clear: debit and credit card payments are only accepted at service counters, and not at self-service machines.
The introduction of this payment method aims to streamline the purchasing process, enhancing convenience and security for commuters by eliminating the need to carry cash or search for an ATM.
Commuters are encouraged to take advantage of this new payment option to experience the ease it brings to their travel routine.
