A peaceful morning at Penang City Park turned alarming when a senior citizen was attacked by monkeys, resulting in a fall that caused a severe head injury requiring nine stitches.
According to The Star, the incident occurred early Saturday morning during an aerobics session at the park. The victim, a woman in her 60s, reportedly had food and drinks in her bag, which is believed to have attracted the monkeys.
The City Park, known for its lush greenery and wildlife, is a popular spot for locals and tourists alike.

Penang Island City Council spokesman told the English daily that the woman was startled by the monkeys and in her attempt to evade them, she fell and hit her head on a road divider.
First aid was promptly administered by medical personnel present at the scene before she was rushed to Hospital Penang for further treatment.
