A man was lying under a tree to enjoy the coolness, but after two hours, he remained motionless and was found dead.
Yesterday evening at 8 o’clock, this man went to the tree in front of a dining centre in the Taman Ria Jaya, Sungai Petani, and lay on a lounge chair to relax.
Two hours later, the staff of the dining centre noticed him and called the security team, but they were unable to wake him up.
The staff said that the security team noticed that the man’s feet had turned black and immediately reported the situation to the police.
According to Sin Chew Daily, in a press release issued this afternoon by the director of the Kuala Muda District Police, it was stated that medical personnel arrived at the scene and confirmed that the man had no signs of life.
The 57-year-old was unemployed, and his last job was as a gardener at a school. He had a history of hypertension, diabetes, and stroke and had been receiving treatment since 2011.
According to the deceased’s son, his father went out in the afternoon yesterday and usually returned home between 9 and 10 p.m.
However, when his son called his father’s phone, a member of the public answered and informed him that his father had passed away.
