Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr. Zulkifli Ahmad has emphasized the government’s strong encouragement for employers to allow remote working arrangements.

Addressing criticisms faced during recent COVID-19 press conferences, he stated that all pandemic measures implemented are based on scientific evidence.
Dr. Zulkifli, who also serves as the Strategy Director of the Integrity Party, highlighted these points during the party’s congress on Sunday.
He asserted that his decisions, including the implementation of the Enhanced Alert System (HAS), are driven by evidence, not emotions.

He addressed the public’s concerns regarding the enforcement of mask-wearing, explaining that any significant future changes in pandemic policies would also be grounded in scientific proof.
Furthermore, Dr. Zulkifli stressed the importance of adhering to pandemic standard operating procedures, such as mask-wearing, avoiding crowded places, maintaining social distance, and frequent hand washing.
He also clarified that he had not actively sought to return to his position as Health Minister, commenting, “I’ve had enough rest in the past 12 months. Despite skepticism, I didn’t raise my hand to come back.“
