KUALA LUMPUR – A fire has broken out at a car workshop in Jalan Kuching at about 5:30 pm today, sending thick, black clouds of smoke up into the air.
Residents and passersby were shocked by the scene, leading many to speculate that an explosion had taken place.

It was later announced by the Transportation Management Centre (ITIS) under Kuala Lumpur City Hall in a Tweet that the fire had occurred near the DUKE exit heading towards Selayang.
Multiple videos and photos of KL’s skyline choking with smog has since gone viral on social media, with netizens expressing deep concern and fear over the inferno.

The Vibes also reported that firefighters have been dispatched to the scene to bring the blaze under control.
