A regular day at work took an unexpected turn for Ram Akawal Mandal, a janitor working at AEON Alpha Angle in Wangsa Maju, Kuala Lumpur.
He found a bag full of RM18,000 cash and personal documents abandoned in a shopping trolley at the mall’s open parking area.
Honesty is the best policy
But instead of pocketing the money, Mandal did the honourable thing – he promptly turned in the bag to the mall’s customer service counter.
Touched by Mandal’s honesty, the woman requested the company to publicly acknowledge and reward their trustworthy staff.
