Mention the word ‘Myvi’ and Malaysians will be able to tell you incredible stories about the beloved ‘King of the Road’, where it has saved drivers from deadly accidents and hauled vehicles twice its size.
However, in typical Malaysian fashion, the Myvi has also gotten itself into sticky but avoidable situations, like this driver who found out the consequences of being impatient.
Myvi driver gets stuck while trying to cut queue
In a 18-second video posted by @m.a7annnn on TikTok, it showed a Myvi driver who had apparently tried to cut the queue and overtake other cars.
In the midst of doing so however, the back wheels got stuck in the ditch and the vehicle struggled to move forward despite the driver’s best efforts.
In a follow up video posted by the OP, it revealed the damage the Myvi suffered as a result of the driver’s impatience, where the front bumper was half torn off as the driver revved the wheels in vain in an attempt to get the vehicle out of the ditch.
‘King sudah Kong’
The first video which showed the Myvi getting stuck while trying to cut queue has since garnered 2.5 million views at the time of writing, along with hundreds of comments from netizens.
Some expressed pity for the Myvi as no one stopped to help, while others said the driver deserved what was coming to him, adding that they would wind down the window and laugh right to his face.
Some also commented that the video was a good lesson about the importance of patience, while others decided to make jokes out of the situation, with one writing: “The King has ‘kong‘ (Hokkien slang meaning “done for” or “a goner”).
