Najib Razak’s daughter, Nooryana Najwa Najib, expressed her sadness over her father’s inability to celebrate Hari Raya with his family this year.
First time celebrating Hari Raya Alone
Najib is currently serving a 12-year prison sentence for his involvement in the misappropriation of RM42 million of SRC International funds.

In an interview with Utusan, Yana Najib shared that her father had told her recently that this would be his first time celebrating Hari Raya alone in prison.
“As a child, it is challenging to see my father observe Ramadan alone in prison. What is even sadder is that he may also have to celebrate Hari Raya in prison,” she said.
Nooryana also mentioned that if her father was facing a fair system, she would feel more at peace.
