A media company in China, Mediastorm has made waves by promising to gift brand-new iPhone 16 Pro units to all 100 employees and interns. The news came to light through a social media post, where the company’s CEO announced the gesture in an internal chat group, expressing gratitude for the team’s dedication.
The message stated, “As usual, everyone gets an iPhone 16 Pro, whether you’re an intern or a new hire. If you’re with the company at this time, you’re entitled to one. The company will also cover any associated taxes, so there’s no need to worry.”
This is the third consecutive year the company has given away the latest iPhone models to its staff. Employees received the iPhone 14 Pro in 2022 and the iPhone 15 Pro in 2023.
When contacted by East Day Finance, the company confirmed the news, simply replying, “Yes, true.”
The post has since gained massive attention on China’s social media platform, Weibo, racking up over 13.92 million views and 1,568 comments at press time.
Many netizens expressed their desire to work for the company, praising the generous gesture. However, some questioned the decision to gift iPhones instead of supporting local brands like Huawei.
