A TikTok video showing a maskless caucasian man shouting at a security guard has recently gone viral on the internet, sparking a flurry of concerns and outrage among netizens.
In the video, we can see a maskless Caucasian shouting ‘not wearing one [mask]’ before saying “F**k off’ at a security guard who asked him to do so.
‘What are you going to do’
The clip then cuts to the man asking the security guard and an employee “what are they going to do” if he refuses to wear a mask.
Before the guard and the employee reply, the man shouts ‘exactly’ and gives them a middle finger before walking away.

Just when we thought everything had come to an end, the caucasian man again tells the staff to “f***k off” and leaves the place.
The clip was believed to have taken inside the Village Grocer M City Ampang branch yesterday(16 April) and was reposted on Twitter this afternoon.
‘When in Rome, do what Romans do’
The video has since garnered over 2.7k reactions and 238k views at the time of writing, with many Malaysians expressing their thoughts about the incident.
“There’s a saying: “When in Rome, do what the Romans do” So now he is in Malaysia, so just follow the SOPS!”
One wrote: “he missed his home. Send him back!”
“Male version Karen.”
Another netizen even mentioned the Immigration Department of Malaysia to ‘send him back where he came from.”
According to the current SOPs listed on MKN website(As of 17 Apr),wearing a mask is still a must in all public areas, excluding:
- Occupants in own residences, hotel rooms, rooms in accommodation, in public places and facilities that do not involve interaction with other individuals;
- Individual work spaces;
- Sports, recreational and leisure activities;
- Private vehicles excluding e-hailing;
- While eating and drinking;
- Performances (singing, dancing, acting, public speech);
- Children aged five (5) years and below;
- Individual with special needs (People with specific disabilities such as individuals with Cerebral Palsy or Autism); or
- Individual with breathing difficulties (a certified medical report from a registered medical practitioner is required).
