In celebration of Mother’s Day, KFC has introduced a special promotion, offering a 9-piece chicken set for just RM36, a 60% drop from its original price of RM57.99. This timely offer comes as KFC faces the challenge of boycott calls across Malaysia and fierce competition from local fried chicken vendors.

M’sians welcome KFC’s promo
By slashing prices during a significant family holiday, KFC aims to attract families looking to celebrate without breaking the bank, making it an appealing option for a festive meal.

The promotional pricing from KFC has been received positively by Malaysian consumers, who are enjoying the more affordable option to indulge in their favorite fried chicken.

One netizen also expressed his gratitude to the fast food chain, where he wrote :” This mother’s day, (we) could party.”
Some also voiced support for KFC and urged other Malaysians to support the fast-food brand.

“I am Malaysian, and I really love this (offer),” another wrote.

One netizen welcomed the offer but urged KFC to improve food quality to revive its business.
This is the time for you to revive your business. Please improve the food quality; otherwise, no matter what price you cut, in the end, it will be your outlets that are sliced down again.”

One netizen sarcastically wrote, “Is this open to type C?” referring to a comment made by a local fried chicken brand.
In response, another netizen commented, “Don’t worry, KFC welcomes all.”

This move is part of a broader effort by KFC to stay competitive and relevant in the fast-food industry, where local businesses are increasingly becoming formidable contenders.
