Communications and Digital Minister Fahmi Fadzil has reported that 86.9% of the 8,860 participants in a recent survey from the information department support the Malaysia Madani concept.
According to a survey conducted five months ago, 68.1% of those surveyed comprehended this concept.
Positive feedback on Malaysia Madani concept
Fahmi asserts this feedback as a promising indication that the government’s efforts concerning economic growth, and upholding community ethics, peace, unity, and integrity aren’t mere lip service.
He notes that the economic gains and investments attracted clearly indicate the concept’s positive impact on the populace.
In response to Azhar Ahmad’s supplementary question in the Dewan Negara regarding the government’s initiatives to communicate and clarify the Malaysia Madani concept, Fahmi cited the survey data gathered from January 28 to February 5.
This survey took place roughly a week post the concept’s unveiling by Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim and showed that 79.9% of participants were informed about it.
Continue to execute diverse programme
Fahmi confirmed the ministry’s commitment to continually execute diverse programs, such as Kita Madani, Jalinan Insan Wahana Aspirasi (Jiwa), Info On Wheels (IOW), and edutainment performances, for public information dissemination.
They also plan to leverage infographics and video graphics from different government agencies and ministries on various social media platforms.
As of June 25, Fahmi revealed that a total of 721 posts with a variety of Malaysia Madani messages have been shared across all official social media channels of the information department, reaching about 1.3 million individuals.
He emphasized that the communication of information related to the Malaysia Madani concept will continue through various channels to augment understanding and appreciation of the concept, thereby empowering Malaysians to collectively uplift the country’s dignity.
Moreover, Fahmi informed the Dewan Negara that the upcoming National Day celebration theme would be the Malaysia Madani concept, with its official launch scheduled for July 15 in Tambun, Perak.
