When driving, it’s always important to make sure that you step on the right pedal or ensuring that no human or other objects are behind the car.
A five-year-old girl narrowly escaped death after a horrifying clip showed a car reversing straight into her, much to the shock of onlookers.

In the 1-minute CCTV clip, it showed the girl loitering outside of a shop selling pet food at Jalan Eco Grandeur 1/8, Bandar Puncak Alam.
Just a few feet in front of her was a yellow Hyundai Elantra, where the driver was reversing into a parking spot.
Suddenly, the car then accelerated and reversed straight into the girl before crashing into the door of the shop.
Several onlookers quickly rushed to the girl’s aid and banged on the driver’s door to tell him what had happened. A woman was also seen clutching her head with horror upon seeing the aftermath of the accident.

Suffered only minor injuries
Miraculously, the girl survived the incident and suffered minor injuries, where she was admitted to the Universiti Tekonlogi Mara (UiTM) Puncak Alam Hospital for treatment and discharged at 8.30am today, reported Harian Metro.
Kuala Selangor district deputy police chief Deputy Superintendent Mohd Ambia Nordin said the driver was making his way to Jalan Eco Grandeur from his home to fetch his child from kindergarten.
“When he arrived at the location, he was reversing his car into the parking lot but pressed the gas pedal drastically, causing the car to reverse towards the girl at a high speed,” he said.
The case is currently being investigated under Section 43(1) of the Road Transport Act for careless driving.
