Body infested with maggots

Initial investigations made it challenging to ascertain the body’s gender, age, and time of death.

Tok explained that the body was 50% decomposed and infested with maggots, which necessitated its transfer to HSA for further examination.

The case is currently being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code. Superintendent Tok appealed to anyone with information related to the case to come forward and assist with the investigation.

“Individuals with any information are encouraged to contact investigation officer Assistant Superintendent Sivachandran at 016-2850204 or visit the Kulai police headquarters,” he added.
