We Interviewed The New Cat Boss At LRT Wangsa Maju, But She Gave Us Zero Attention

Her only KPI is looking cute & ignoring everyone.
If you have been following the Wangsa Maju LRT cat lore, you would know that the station has recently welcomed a new feline figure.

Previously, the station was known for Cantik, the beloved cat who had charmed many commuters over the years.

Now, a new cat has seemingly stepped into the role, and Malaysians are already calling her the new “boss” of LRT Wangsa Maju.

Obviously, we couldn’t just let this pass. We had to go and meet her ourselves.

Found her behind the counter

Hoping that the new feline in charge would be around, we made our way to Wangsa Maju LRT station.

Thankfully, luck was on our side.

We found her right behind the Rapid KL customer service and ticketing counter, where she was busy enjoying her kibbles and water that had been specially set up for her.

Since she was clearly in the middle of an important meal, we waited patiently for her to finish before attempting to get a few words from her.

After all, interviewing a cat boss requires respect.

Tried to interview her

Once she was done with her meal, we took the opportunity to ask her a few important questions.

“Are you the new cat taking over LRT Wangsa Maju, filling the spot left by Cantik?”

“Did Cantik personally choose you as the successor, or did you simply show up and claim the throne?”

“People are already calling you ‘Boss.’ Are you really the boss of LRT Wangsa Maju?”

“Most importantly, how much is your salary? Is it more than Cantik’s? Are you paid in cash, kibbles, or pats?”

Unfortunately, she was not in the mood to entertain the media.

Throughout the whole “interview,” she remained completely nonchalant, giving us the energy of someone silently saying:

Bro, I have no time for this. No comment.”

Her name is actually Hesham

While the cat boss herself refused to answer our questions, one of the Rapid KL counter staff kindly let us in on a little secret.

Her name is actually Hesham, aka Handsome.

And here is the fun part.

Despite the masculine name, Hesham is actually a female cat.

Honestly, that just makes her even more iconic.

65% unbothered

After spending some time observing her, we can safely say that Hesham has a very strong personality.

She is extremely fluffy, active only about 30% of the time, lets out a “meow” for maybe 5% of it, and spends the remaining 65% being completely unbothered.

Basically, she is like that one crush who does not give a damn about you, but somehow that only makes you like them more.

It seems like the new boss of LRT Wangsa Maju has already mastered the art of maintaining mystery, authority, and emotional distance.

Say hi if you see her

So, if you happen to drop by Wangsa Maju LRT station, keep an eye out for Hesham.

Say hi, give her some gentle pats if she allows it, and maybe bring along some love.

Or kibbles. But just be prepared for the possibility that she may ignore you completely.

After all, she is the boss.
