Eager Apple fans lined up early at the Apple Store TRX to get their hands on the latest iPhone 16 series.

Among them were several foreign nationals and Malaysians who shared their excitement and reasons for being early adopters of the tech giant’s newest release.

One of the earliest to arrive was a man from Bangladesh, now working in Malaysia. He, who requested anonymity revealed that he woke up around 7 am and spent RM6,999 on the iPhone 16 Pro Max 512 GB.

We like to change,” he said, explaining that he upgrades his iPhone every year.
Last year, without an Apple Store in Malaysia, he and his friend ordered from Singapore just to get their hands on the new device.
Reflecting on his purchase, he said, “I’ll have my breakfast first before transferring the data, as it usually takes around 2-3 hours.”

One Malaysian, who arrived at 7:30 am and waited for about 30 minutes, described the experience as “smooth.” Upgrading from his iPhone 11 to the iPhone 16 Pro Max, it was his first time queuing for the newest model and found the process hassle-free.
Another early riser, who came from Seri Kembangan at 7 AM, shared that despite the long queue, the staff’s friendliness made the experience enjoyable. He upgraded from his iPhone 11 Pro to the iPhone 16 Pro.
With the excitement surrounding the iPhone 16 launch, it’s clear that Apple fans, whether local or foreign, are willing to go the extra mile to get the latest tech in their hands.
