[VIDEO] Man nearly swept away by floodwaters while trying to wade through it

SEGAMAT – A man nearly went down to his watery grave when he was nearly swept away by ferocious floodwaters while trying to make his way through it.

Fortunately, he was able to clutch onto the safety rope tossed to him by the fire department and was subsequently rescued.

In a Facebook post posted by Bomba Bahagian Korporat, the incident is believed to have taken place at Bandar Baharu Segamat on Saturday (Dec 1).

In the video, the man can be seen trying to fight the rushing current as several people work together to drag him towards them.

In the caption, the public was also advised not to attempt crossing through strong floodwaters as it might endanger their lives.
