[VIDEO] Horde of angry delivery riders confront lorry driver following collision

SHAH ALAM – A heated argument broke out between a group of delivery riders and a lorry driver at around 5:30 pm at Persiaran Setia Perdana yesterday (June 22), leading to two arrests as a result.

In the now-viral 14-second clip, the delivery riders were seen surrounding the lorry driver while chanting angrily following an accident.

Around 50 individuals were spotted getting involved in the tense standoff, piquing the curiosity of bystanders.

According to Shah Alam OCPD Asst Comm Baharudin Mat Taib, the altercation began after the lorry collided with a Foodpanda rider’s motorcycle, breaking his arm.

Enraged by the incident, the other Foodpanda riders rushed to the aid of their colleague and allegedly assaulted the lorry driver.

“The delivery driver was sent to the Tengku Ampuan Rahimah Hospital at Klang for treatment,” he said.

Baharudin added that the lorry rider had lodged a police report and two Foodpanda riders aged 20 and 25 were arrested to aid investigations. Police are also looking for suspects who might have been at the scene too.
