On Sept 18 of this year, RapidKL launched the women-only MRT coach on the Kajang Line as a way to provide a safe space for female passengers.
Despite the bright pink stickers and notices adorned all across the train, it seems that some men are still ignorant (willfully or not) to it and even become aggressive when told to sit elsewhere.

Rude M’sian man yells at woman who told him to leave women-only coach
This infuriating encounter happened to a young woman who met a man encroaching the MRT women’s coach, where she filmed the entire incident on her TikTok account.
In the 41-second clip, the man dressed in a black collared top is seen talking on the phone while the OP calmly asks him to step away from the women’s coach.

Instead of apologising, the man tells the OP to “shut up” in an exasperated tone, prompting the OP to reply, “You tell me to shut up because I asked you politely to move from the women’s section?”
As the OP badgered the man to move away from the women’s coach, the man simply ignored her and continued talking on the phone.
According to the caption, the man wasn’t on the phone and allegedly shouted at the OP prior the recording. But as soon as the OP started filming him, he pretended to have a call.

The OP also added that she tried looking for assistance from auxiliary policemen but couldn’t find any at the time.
OP reveals more details of incident
In a short conversation with WeirdKaya, the OP who wants to be known as Rafaa said she has asked men to leave the women’s coach several times in the past but this was the first time she was verbally abused for doing so.
When asked whether she reported the incident to RapidKL, Rafaa said they told her they would look into it, but not before her TikTok video went viral.

“RapidKL should also at least have one security personnel present at the MRT counter so that we can report if we encounter any problems,” she added.
‘Embarrassment of a man’
The clip has since garnered close to 650,000 views at the time of writing, where netizens were disgusted by the man’s rudeness and blatant disregard for the rules.
‘I’m sorry you’ve to dealt (sic) with this. Such a low from the man, he’s trying to save himself from embarrassment and pretend to answer a call.’

‘I wonder if his company/employer sees this and take action on him.’

Many praised the OP’s bravery in confronting the man and for standing up for other female passengers.

Another slammed RapidKL’s inaction over such incidents, saying that it “pissed (her) off” and told RapidKL to “do better”.
