This has also been the duo’s best performance so far, where they were the first Malaysian women’s doubles to reach the semi-finals at the Olympics after trouncing bronze medallists Kim So-yeong-Kong Hee-yong 21-12, 21-13 in the quarter-finals.
Pearly-Thinaah’s journey at the Olympics is a testament to their resilience and dedication. While the bronze eluded them this time, their future in badminton remains bright.
Well done to the duo for their outstanding performance and for making Malaysia proud!
