Amanah president Mohamad Sabu said that a new name for the government coalition which consists of Pakatan Harapan, Barisan Nasional (BN), Gabungan Parti Sarawak(GPS), Gabungan Rakyat Sabah(GRS), Warisan and others will be made by the top leaders soon.
Mohamad Sabu described the new coalition as a child “that has been born but doesn’t have a name yet”.
“Our team is discussing naming the coalition between BN, PH, and others,” he said.
He also shared that the naming will be discussed and announced by the leadership, he reportedly said during a BN campaign for the Tioman Seat in Rompin, Pahang last night.
This comes after the 15th General Election, where none of the coalitions has the simple majority to win the election, necessitating a post-election alliance to form a government.
However, it remains unclear whether the new government name will be registered officially or purely a branding matter.
