During festive occasions like Hari Raya Aidilfitri, choosing what colour to wear can be one of the most difficult decisions one has to make.
However, a woman has come up with a brilliant tactic to help her family in picking what colour their baju Raya should be.
M’sian woman prepares slides to help family decide what colour to wear
In a 41-second TikTok clip shared by @kuahdal, it showed her gathering her family together at the living room and giving a presentation to them about what colour to pick for Hari Raya.
For the presentation, she included photos of models donning the baju kurung and baju Melayu in various colours as a point of reference.
One slide also had a colour chart which showing a list of colour shades that would go well with baju Raya.
In another slide, the woman even included a comprehensive list of the colour and theme the family wore for Hari Raya since 2012 up until now.
Used 30 mins to prepare the slides
Speaking to WeirdKaya, the woman, Daleen Natalia, said the entire presentation took her roughly 30 minutes to prepare as most of the visuals and info were taken from Pintrest and Google.
My family were really surprised as they never thought I’d make a presentation because I told them it was just a discussion.
“I came up with the idea of making a presentation as I had just finished my degree a few weeks ago and kind of missed the presentations I had to prepare for my final year project,” she said.
When asked whether her family had decided on what colours to wear for Hari Raya this year, Daleen said they decided to colour block, where the girls would wear pink while the guys will wear blue or green.
Netizens amused
The clip has since garnered 1.7 million views at the time of writing and netizens were tickled by Daleen’s creative method of picking a colour for her family’s Hari Raya outfit.
‘So true. (It’s difficult to pick a colour) as one person wants apple green while another wants sky blue.’
‘My family wrote on pieces of paper four different colours and my dad had to pick like it was a lucky draw.’
Meanwhile, a netizen was a tad disappointed that a majority of comments were in favour of sage green, emerald or dusty green instead of brick orange.
