A man who went viral for making a scene at a Nasi Dagang shop at Putra Heights because he wasn’t called ‘baby’ by the restaurant worker has been apprehended by the police.
He was found at a premise on North Samudera Road 2, Taman Samudera 68, Batu Caves, Selangor, early this morning (10 Jun).
Various Past Offences
Subang Jaya District Police Chief Assistant Commissioner Wan Azlan Wan Mamat said that the arrest was made at 1 a.m. this morning and the suspect, a 50-year-old unemployed man, has a history of various past offences, including fraud, theft, obstructing public servants from performing their duties and making criminal threats.
“The suspect has been granted a four-day remand, starting from today until Tuesday, by the Shah Alam Magistrate’s Court,” he said in a statement as reported by Kosmo!.
According to him, the investigation is being conducted under Sections 506/352 of the Penal Code, and the case will be referred to the Deputy Public Prosecutor after completion.
Want To Be Called “Baby”
Earlier, WeirdKaya reported about the incident that went viral on TikTok. He was seen throwing food packages and hot drinks, which accidentally hits a four-year-old child with no injuries reported.
The reason behind his rage was not identified initially. According to Harian Metro, his outburst was because the restaurant female worker addressed the suspect as ‘uncle,’ but the suspect insisted on being called ‘brother’ or ‘baby’.
After the victimized employee ignored his request and handed over his food and drinks, the suspect became aggressive, shouting insults, and threatening to damage the property of the shop.
The suspect also threw several chairs inside the premises and kicked the table multiple times, causing fear and disturbance to other customers present in the restaurant.
