In a shocking turn of events in Sungai Way, Selangor, a dispute over an unpaid loan of RM30 spiraled into a violent altercation shortly after midnight on Wednesday (6 March).
The confrontation began when a man in his twenties sought to reclaim a small debt from his friend, resulting in a fierce argument at the friend’s home.
The situation quickly escalated as the debtor resorted to using a knife, causing severe injuries to the victim’s chest and neck.

The victim, engulfed in pain, screamed for help and managed to seek assistance from his roommate.
Petaling Jaya District Police Chief Shahrulnizam Bin Ja’afar revealed to Guang Ming Daily that the suspect’s aggressive behavior was likely fueled by drug influence, aggravated by the victim’s refusal to settle the RM30 debt.
Law enforcement swiftly responded to the scene, apprehending the suspect by 1 am on Thursday (7/3).
Sin Chew Daily also reported that the victim received urgent medical attention at the University Malaya Medical Centre (PPUM), where he is reported to be in stable condition.
The suspect tested positive for drugs, and police are conducting further investigations under Section 326 of the Penal Code for voluntarily causing grievous hurt.
