Being away from family due to work or studies is undoubtedly a hard thing to go through as it means living separately with little to no support from loved ones.
A young navy graduate had a shock of his life and subsequently broke down in tears upon seeing his father at his graduation ceremony after months of being apart.
M’sian man breaks down in tears upon seeing his dad
In the touching video posted on TikTok by @bibieyvaldepena, it first began with the young man having his photo taken by one of his sisters during his navy graduation ceremony at a Royal Malaysian Navy (TLDM) base in Pengerang, Johor.
After that, he posed for a photo with his sister. But unbeknownst to him, his father and mother were also in the picture as well.
Still unaware that his parents had already made their appearance, the young man took a look at the photo. At that moment, he finally realised that his parents were around and gave a jump out of shock.
When he turned around, he saw his father and quickly ran towards him to hug him before falling to his knees in tears.
After the navy graduate regained his composure, he continued to hold his father tightly while sobbing uncontrollably.
According to the in-text caption, the young man had waited six long months to finally see his father again.
‘Why am I crying?’

‘I swore I repeated the clip multiple times. Cryinggg.’
‘I now have a new hobby…and that is crying for people I don’t know on TikTok. I’m so tired from crying and it hurts.’
