Man Slashes 2 Others With Parang For Allegedly Disturbing His Wife In Cheras

Both sustained serious injuries to their hand and back of their neck.
Two men were left seriously injured after a man slashed them with a parang during the wee hours of the morning.

Berita Harian reported that the incident occurred at Jalan Mutiara Raya in Cheras at around 4am on Friday (Mar 31).

Slashed men with parang for ‘disturbing’ wife

According to Cheras district police chief Assistant Commissioner Zam Halim Jamaluddin, police received information from the public concerning a fight which broke out between the 45-year-old suspect and the two men.

“The crime prevention patrol unit from the Cheras police station rushed to the scene and found that the two men were stabbed.

“Preliminary investigations also found that they were both severely injured by the attack, where they sustained injuries to their hand and the back of their neck,” he said.

Zam Halim added that the altercation occurred when the suspect accosted the men aged 22 and 23 for allegedly “disturbing” his wife.

He also said that a 39-year-old Malaysian woman was detained at a residential area near Taman Seri Aman by the the Cheras district police headquarters’ Anti-Vice, Gaming and Gangsterism Division (D7) at 7.30pm on the same day.

“She was arrested based on suspicions that she may have colluded with the suspect as she was present at the time the attack took place,” he said.

Police hunting down suspect

The suspect, identified as H S Heranpal Singh from Mentakab, Pahang, and believed to be the husband involved in the fight, is now being sought out by police to aid investigations.
