Malaysia Airports has issued a warning about an ongoing scam in which fraudsters are using the airport’s name to sell lost luggage online.
This notice came following a series of misleading posts on a fake Facebook page purporting to be Kuala Lumpur International Airport.

The page showcased various luggage and their contents, offered at an unbelievably low price of RM16, with a promise of nationwide delivery.
This fraudulent page claimed that these offers, featuring suitcases filled with assorted items and electronics, were valid only until the end of the month.
Additionally, it even provided a 60-day return window for any unsatisfactory purchases.
Malaysia Airports: It’s fake
However, the public has been urged to exercise caution and skepticism towards such deals.

Malaysia Airports has reiterated through its official Facebook page and website that it operates only one official page.
Please be aware that Malaysia Airports only has one official Facebook page, which is Malaysia Airports with a verified badge. If you encounter any pages other than that, please help us report it to Facebook to avoid any mishandling of information that might confuse the public.
The airport authority has been clear in stating that they do not engage in the sale of lost items or luggage under any circumstances.
The airport’s statement on its website further elaborates on the risks of engaging with fraudulent Facebook pages or online sellers.
These scammers, often creating fake profiles or pages on social media platforms, lure customers with enticing deals on lost belongings.
