A foreigner who allegedly made an obscene gesture towards two PDRM officers while they were on duty has been arrested, reported Sinar Harian.
According to the Malay daily, the 39-year-old man had given the officers the middle finger behind their backs and recorded the act.
Dang Wangi District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Noor Dellhan Yahaya said preliminary investigations found that the incident happened in front of outside Lot10 in Bukit Bintang at around 12:15am on Independence Day (Aug 31).
“Police were alerted of the incident after a video of it was uploaded to Twitter.
“The man has been remanded for three days to assist with the case.
“He is being investigated under Section 14 of the Minor Offences Act 1955 and Section 6(1)(c) of the Immigration Act 1956/63,” he added.
He also advised the public not to commit offenses which may violate the laws of the country.
