Deputy Minister of Communications and Digital Technology, Teo Nie Ching, stated that to ensure foreign artists strictly adhere to Malaysia’s performance guidelines when holding concerts in the country, the Central Committee For Applications For Filming And Performances By Foreign Artistes (PUSPAL) and the police will deploy personnel to supervise the event on the day of the concert.

Kill Switch measure to be implemented
Teo emphasized that if any content of the performance is found to be in violation of the country’s norms and values, authorities will activate the “Kill Switch” measure.

“This involves cutting off the power supply to the venue, forcibly halting the performance, and taking action against the performers and the organizing entities,” she said in response to a question posed by PAS’s MP Zulkifli Ismail during a Q&A session in the Dewan Rakyat today.
