Social media was abuzz this afternoon when a photo of the fallen ceiling at the mall began circulating, leading to widespread public discourse. Eyewitnesses recounted that the ceiling had fallen onto a watch sales counter.

It is also understood that no casualties have been reported at press time.
According to Sin Chew Daily, the mall management notified the fire and rescue department, which dispatched personnel to the scene.

While the mall has closed off the area where the ceiling collapsed, other sections of the mall, including the hypermarket and food outlets, were not affected and continue to operate as usual.
