CHUKAI – Police are asking for the public’s help to track down a 20-year-old man to assist in investigations into the rape of a 15-year-old teenager in Terengganu who allegedly stabbed her newborn to death on Tuesday (Feb 8).

Kemaman District Police Chief, Superintendent Hanyan Ramlan said police believe the suspect, Mohammad Hazuarie Hassan can help shed light onto the ongoing case.
He added that police had advised Mohammad Hazuarie to turn himself in but to no avail.
We now ask the suspect to surrender and assist us in the case, which is now investigated under section 376 of the Penal Code.
“We also welcome the public’s help in channeling information to the police if they know where he is,” he said.
Hanyan also said police had tracked Mohammad Hazuarie all the way to his home in Bandar Seri Bandi but did not find him there.
We believe he has fled to the northern part of Terengganu and we will continue to track him down.
