So What Do Malaysians Want Most?

This led Gamuda Land to launch a nationwide survey to understand what Malaysians want in their home and they expressed a few main concerns.

Topping the list was a spacious, open layout that allowed for easy movement and a sense of freedom within the home.

An overwhelming 86% of respondents indicated they want a spacious and open layout, with the flexibility to customise the internal space, like which walls or partitions to remove before their home is built, allowing for personalised layouts that cater to individual needs and lifestyles.

Meanwhile, lush green private gardens and spacious communal parks are highly valued by 72% of participants. These green spaces provide a serene escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life, offering a perfect spot for relaxation and outdoor activities.

Safety is also a top priority, with 75% of respondents wanting gated and guarded communities with vehicle-free outdoor areas. This ensures a secure and peaceful environment where families can feel safe and children can play freely without the risk of traffic.

A pet-friendly township is essential for 80% of those surveyed, ensuring their furry friends are welcome and can enjoy the amenities just as much as their owners. This includes dedicated pet areas and facilities that make it easier for pet owners to live harmoniously with their animals.

As for choosing the perfect neighbourhood, 83% of the respondents are looking for homes that have convenient access to established retail and commercial areas

Meet The Clove: Discover A New Way of Living

Responding to these insights, Gamuda Land introduced The Clove, a fresh take on home design that blends the best features of terrace and cluster homes.

Park Homes, as they are called, are designed in clusters of eight, each sharing a 100-foot-long communal garden in addition to having their own private gardens. The estimated build-up size ranges from 1,950 to 2,210 square feet, with prices starting at RM750k.
