No overtime pay too

The employee noted a discrepancy in how penalties are enforced, claiming that while they are consistently fined for occasional lateness, colleagues who arrive significantly late do not face the same consequences.

It feels like I’m being made an example to deter others,” the employee shared.

When the employee submitted their complaints to management, they were reportedly met with dismissive responses.

Additionally, the employee mentioned being assigned tasks that require them to work overtime, yet they are expected to arrive on time the next day without receiving any overtime pay.

Even if I work late, I still need to be on time the next day. The worst part is that there is no overtime pay,” they lamented.

Despite considering resignation, the employee hesitates to leave due to the potential loss of three years of service with the company.

‘You should quit the company’

Some netizens suggested reporting the company to the Labour Department, as the penalties effectively reduce employees’ salaries, while others advised the employee to enhance their skills, speculating that colleagues who evade penalties might possess irreplaceable skills.

Some also encouraged the employee to seek employment elsewhere for better opportunities.
